Justin Bieber says Selena Gomez, who has suffered death threats from Beliebers, has nothing to worry about when it comes to groupies.
They aren't his type.
"Erm it's y'know, I'm not into that type of stuff. I'm into finding a girl who I like and who likes me back for me. Some of the girls just want me because of what I am. I need a girl who likes me for my heart, and not because I'm Justin Bieber. My fans love Justin Bieber the artist. They don't know me."
Well, that stung. In fact, his fans are downright upset. Many of of Justin's "Beliebers" voiced their displeasure with his statement on twitter, below is just a sampling.
So has this alienated his fan-base at all? Well, while I'm sure there are a few who have 'bieber fever' who were brought to tears by his statement, I highly doubt the commentary will do much to hurt his record sales.
The kid's got a golden horseshoe stuffed where the sun don't shine, so I think that "Justin Bieber – The Artist" will survive just fine.
If anyone needs a tissue, I'll be over here handing them out…
