Justin Bieber is doing more than just music, promoting his new album "Believe", and doing a world tour. The 18-year old pop star is now considering a movie career. Marc Wahlberg has given his thumbs up and has credited Bieber on his acting.
Wahlberg and Bieber plan a new basketball film with Wahlberg as a reluctant and older mentor to Bieber, a wisecracking teenager who is an extremely talented basketball player. Wahlberg talked about Bieber's role in the new film while promoting "Ted" on MTV News. He acknowledged Bieber's athletic abilities as well as his acting talents.
Wahlberg said he is encouraged to get the best out of Bieber's performance in the acting field. "There's not going to be any shortage of pushing him in getting that kind of strong performance out of him, if we get to make the movie," said Wahlberg. "We're just going to have to make him realize that he's playing a character so he can't have the same hairdo," he said comically.
"It's really cool," Bieber said about the new hoops film. "Hopefully, I'll be able to do that as well soon. So, I'll be hooping. I got to get back in the gym.
I haven't played basketball in a while. I did a little charity basketball game at Shaq's house for Pencils of Promise. We did a little charity basketball game, and I won."
