Justin Bieber may only be 18 years old, but he’s definitely a man, and a romantic one at that! Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez have had their ups and downs, but after The Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday he made sure they were definitely floating in the clouds.
Gomez turned 20 on July 22 and Bieber worked his tail off to plan the perfect birthday, since what girl doesn’t want to feel like a princess on her special day? Hollywood Life reported that he did all the planning himself, even the decorations!
Their evening kicked off at Il Cielo, deemed Los Angele’s “most romantic” restaurant, but instead of a quiet dinner for two, Bieber threw her an intimate birthday party with close friends.
If this doesn’t sound romantic yet, it gets better. Gomez was escorted into a room draped in roses and sparkling lights! And instead of just ordering off the usual menu, Bieber created a special menu just for her that featured grilled calamari, homemade pappardelle with lobster and grilled rib-eye steak. For dessert, how does a personalized cake decorated with roses sound? For Gomez, it was perfect.
By the end of the night, Gomez was already mesmerized by her boyfriend, but Bieber took his romantic side one step further and gave a speech. He wasn’t afraid to show how much he cares for her, and in front of friends, he told her how much she means to him, bringing her to tears.
This truly was an evening fit for a princess, and in this fairy-tale, Bieber certainly was the perfect prince.
