Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Justin Bieber on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” will be seen in 100 countries. It’ll air on her OWN network on Nov. 25 in the U.S., while a Canadian date has not yet been confirmed.
Winfrey interviewed Bieber after attending one of his concerts and hanging out backstage. A publicist describes it as “one of the most in-depth interviews” Bieber has ever done.
Oprah Winfrey was back to interviewing A-list stars Wednesday in Chicago just like the old days, only this time it was pop star Justin Bieber at RL restaurant rather than Harpo Studios and it was for OWN’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” rather than “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
“Me and the Bieber just finished our interview,” Winfrey tweeted Wednesday. “Good stuff! # NextChapter.” Bieber sang to the large crowd waiting outside the restaurant afterward (one Tribune colleague who happened to be walking by estimated it was around 150-200 people) and then went shopping with Winfrey next door at the Ralph Lauren store. RL chef Ryan Pitts said the restaurant was closed during the duration of the interview and added that RL and Winfrey brought in security for the occasion.
