UGH WHAT?!?!
Well, that's what iconic romance novelist Jackie Collins thinks!!
In a recent interview on Gaydar Radio, the woman who puts the fever in fever-inducing, erotic sexuations explained that one of the seXXXiest men alive AKA Matt Bomer was passed over for the role of Superman because he's a dude who loves dudes.
Mz. Collins reveals:
"Matt Bomer, who is the most gorgeous looking guy and the star of White Collar, he was up for the role of Superman. He had not come out of the closet but people in the know knew he was gay. His audition tape went in and he called up the agent. Someone didn’t like him and told them he was gay. They said, “No, no, we can’t cast you.” The reason he didn’t get cast was because he was gay.
I think it should change but there are women out there who want to worship somebody. If Justin Bieber said he was gay, he’d lose all his little girl fans.
It’s a sad fact of life. So a lot of them get married, have a couple of kids and pretend to be straight."
Oh man, that just made us SUPER sad!
While we're wondering HOW Jackie knows all this insider Superman information, we can't deny that at least part of what she's saying is true.
Hollywood is still quite homophobic and even though the sexual orientation of an actor should NEVER matter as long as they can do justice to whatever part they're playing, many people still believe that a gay actor cannot play a straight character.
UM YEAH IT'S CALLED ACTING, pretending to be things that you aren't is pretty much the definition of acting.
