In a strange development, Justin Bieber apparently gave his hamster, PAC, to a fan, at a recent concert. Video of the occasion landed on Saturday.It’s still unclear why Bieber would do this. After all, PAC the hamster has — or at least had — his own Twitter account. (To be clear, he actually had more than one, and even those multiple accounts aren’t all of them, and there’s no guarantee Bieber was associated with any of them).The grainy footage was shot after the Jingle Ball at the Patriot Center on Wednesday night. This was the first Jingle Ball hosted by local radio station (and ClearChannel affiliate) Hot 99.5. A three-hour, Christmas-themed extravaganze, not only did it feature Bieber, also appearing were Ke$ha, Flo Rida, “Gangnam Style” rapper Psy and more.The video shows Bieber walking up to a group of screaming fans and signing autographs. Suddenly, without warning, he can be seen handing his hamster cage to a girl in the crowd, declaring, “That’s all you.” While not much more can be heard over the Bieber-licious screaming, you can clearly hear him tell the girl, “You gotta take care of PAC.”
Naturally, the girl screams back, “I will take care of him!” We expect that will be the case, as PAC is now undoubtedly a treasured member of her family. Perhaps not so much in the view of the girl’s parents, though.The reasons behind PAC’s donation are unknown, but perhaps Bieber just grew tired of cleaning his cage (although really, he had to have an entourage member do that). We can only hope he won’t dump Selena so unceremoniously, should it come to that.
