Justin Bieber has been ordered to apologise after ‘insulting’ boxer Manny Pacquiap or he could be banned from the Philippines.
The As Long As You Love Me hit maker enraged politicians when he posted several photoshopped images on his Instagram account of Manny during his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez which he lost.
One image shows Manny to have passed out on the floor with a picture of the character Lion King’s Simba to nudging him to get up.
Another photoshopped image again showed Manny to be knocked out on the floor with a doctored picture of Michael Jackson to be leaning over him dressed in his Smooth Criminal suit with the words “Manny are you ok? Are you ok, Manny?”
Whilst Justin may have shared the pictures in a light hearted way, Filipino politicians have found it offensive and have threatened the singer a ‘persona non grata’ if he doesn’t apologise for the images.
According to the newspaper The Sun, a statement from seven members of the Philippines Congress which read: “Mr Bieber should have known that the Hon. Pacquiao has reached his stature as such as a result of sheer hard work, determination and firm belief in God, and despite (sic) such stature best exemplifies humility and grace even in defeat.”
