Demi Lovato and Camila of Fifth Harmony
Even though finalists Fifth Harmony are being mentored by Demi Lovato‘s X Factor USA nemesis Simon Cowell, she had no problem joining the girls to perform her hit, “Give Your Heart A Break” on the show’s finale tonight (December 19). And the girls definitely couldn’t hold back their excitement over sharing the stage with Demi. “I literally can’t believe I’m about to say this, but please welcome someone we look up to so incredibly much and she’s amazing and I’m gonna cry,” 5H’s Camila said as she introduced Demi.
The ladies all sounded amazing together, a fact even Cowell couldn’t deny. “It pains me to say this, but Demi Lovato, you were sensational,” he said. “That is what I call pop perfection.”
Tonight was the second time 5H have performed “Give Your Heart A Break” on X Factor USA. The first time, the song was chosen by fans in the Pepsi Viewers’ Choice Challenge. The girls impressed Demi with their version. “I think this song should have been your song,” Demi told them. “You sounded so beautiful on it… I feel like you guys definitely sang it better than the original.”
