Melbourne’s Gotye had the biggest selling song of 2012 in the USA.

According to Nielsen SoundScan ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ by Gotye featuring Kimbra sold 6,801,000 units during the year placing it around 300,000 sales ahead of Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’.


‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ was also the most played song on US radio in 2012 with 652,000 plays.
