At only 18, Justin Bieber is a global superstar and gifted performer. 2012 has seen Justin’s star, rising and rising. Here’s my countdown of his top 10 omg! moments this year:
1. The big winner
Justin emerged as the winner at the 40th annual American Music Awards in Los Angeles after bagging a hat-trick of awards. Picking up his awards, Justin said, ‘I want to say this is for all the haters who thought that I was just here for one or two years. I feel like I’m going to be here for a very long time.’
2. The life of Justin Bieber
According to reports, ABC is developing a single-camera sitcom based around the pre-fame life of the Canadian teen megastar. You know you’ve made the big-time when you’re in talks for a sitcom and have a 3D movie under your belt.
3. Oprah Winfrey
The queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey, recently compared Justin’s stage presence and greatness to that of The King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Not a bad compliment, eh?
4. Pretty ladies at the Victoria’s Secret show
Being at the Victoria’s Secret show was probably Justin’s highlight of 2012. Well, which 18-year-old boy wouldn’t want to be surrounded by scantily-clad lingerie models? However, rumours went rife after Justin was seen backstage chatting to models. Not long after it as reported that Justin and girlfriend, Selena Gomez had split. Thankfully, the pair, known as ‘Selieber’, are said to be back on and as loved-up as ever.
5. 30 Under 30
It’s fair to say that Justin has achieved more than most in his lifetime. So it comes as no shock that he’s one of a few musicians who made it onto Forbes’ annual 30 Under 30 list.
6. Money, money, money
According to reports, this year alone, Justin has reported to have earned a staggering $55 million. He’s certainly not your average 18-year-old.
7. Believe
Let’s not forget, 2012 also seen the release of Justin’s 3rd studio album, ‘Believe’. Needless to say, it was a worldwide hit.
8. 15 million albums sold
May 2012 was the month that Justin sold over 15 million albums. Not bad for someone who’s only been in the industry for only a few years!
9. @justinbieber
As of November, Justin’s Twitter @justinbieber, became the second most followed celebrity account, with over 30-million followers!
10. Believe Tour
Justin is currently on his second tour, the Believe Tour. With 118 shows in total, the tour will go on until next year. No doubt, making 2013 just as unBELIEBable as ever!
