You know who Justin Bieber is. But you don’t know who he really is and what he’s achieved.
Justin Bieber was around 13 when he started covering songs and was posting them on YouTube. He would also stand outside Avon theater with his guitar singing, he did a local singing competition in which he came in 2nd.Well he never had the intention for people to see his videos, he wanted to send the links of him performing to his family but the videos started to get 50, then 500, then 15,000 views. People began asking for more covers.
One day Scooter Braun clicked on one of Justin’s videos and he was impressed, so Scooter was determined to find Justin at that point, and his mom. Scooter Braun finally found a way to contact Pattie Mallette, Justin’s mom. They agreed to meet up. She flew to Atlanta Georgia, to record demo tapes.
A week after arriving, Justin sang for R&B singer/songwriter Usher . Justin was soon signed to Raymond Braun media. Justin Timberlake was also interested in signing Justin to his record label but he lost the war to Usher. After that Usher got him an audition with L.A Reid.
Reid was also impressed and signed Justin to Island Jam Music Group. Justin then was working on his first single, “One Time”. It was released on the radio Justin was still recording his debut album “My World” at the time. He started to get more well known and girls were falling in love with his cute face and his amazing voice.
After that Justin released his album and My World 2.0. months later. He sang for the president in ’09. Justin was going viral- his fame started growing and “Bieber Fever” started. Two years later in ’11 he came out with his movie “Never Say Never 3-D,” a documentary about his life. He started to get even more famous than he already was and his fan base started growing. His song “Baby” was the most viewed video. He was also the most searched up celebrity on the internet.
He does a lot of charity work and donated $300,000 to a cancer research for one of his fans- she was 6 when Justin met her in 2011 on Valentine’s Day. He visits kids in hospitals. He is involved with the charity Pencil of Promise working on building schools and in the Make a Wish foundation. He’s all about giving back because when he was little he didn’t have the things most kids had.
In late 2011 Justin started working on his album “Believe” which was released June 19, 2012 and let me tell you it’s awesome. As of November 2012, Bieber’s Twitter account (@justinbieber) is the second most popular celebrity account with over 30 million followers, behind that of Lady Gaga with over 32 million followers. Justin has 143,921 fewer followers than her. He has 50,309,861 likes on facebook, 32,801,842 Followers on twitter. 3,301,227,080 views on YouTube , 2,865,727 subscribers . He was recently on Oprah Winfrey ,”Oprah’s Next Chapter” where she compared Justin at 18 years old to the Beatles and Michael Jackson, and said that he was her biggest interview since 1993 with Michael Jackson… Where do you think Justin will be in a couple of years?
