One Direction see 'a 79% increase in UK ticket resales following ...

Joint lit, not so happy days

The One Direction fandom seemed to roughly fall into three categories when that video of Zayn and Louis’ shenanignans appeared earlier this week. Most of you lot either a) Jumped to the defence of the boys and just wondered how it leaked in the first place, b) Were pretty disappointed in their antics, or c) Really didn’t care and just wanted pizza.

But it turns out that, probably thanks to a shedload of overdramatic articles being written about them being on a long and winding road of self-destruction, there’s been a mahoosive increase in people putting their tour tickets up for sale since it leaked. So err... nice one Zouis, you've helped all of us who couldn't afford one at full price.

As well as all the rumours that loads of fans have been burning their Where We Are tour tickets in some kind of betrayed fangirl ritual in a sacrifice to Justin Bieber, a spokesperson for online ticket shop Viagogo has revealed that 1D re-sales have shot right up this week.

The rep revealed that there’s been a whopping 79% surge in tickets being put up for the sale for the UK shows, and it seems that Zayn and Louis being ALL over the press at the moment could have been to blame.

They spilled: "The boys are considered role models, but the question is whether this latest controversy will affect the boyband’s squeaky clean image, as fans – and their parents alike – turn to reselling their tickets.”

‘Spose this means that some people can actually resist a bad boy then. Even one from Bradford with cheekbones that could cut glass.

Hmmm... That's all very well and good, but we have a feeling that the boys won't exactly be turning up to an empty crowd at Wembley. Now we're off to buy a shed load of cheap tickets, THANKS ZOUIS BABES.

What do you think about all this? Surprised that the Zouis media attention has helped ticket resales? Comments please.
