Not the usual end of a shift for music photographers around the world, but unfortunately for one unlucky member of the paparazzi, his future was cut short after he was struck by a vehicle in LA on Tuesday evening (January 1st 2013). Following attempts to gain shots of Canadian pop icon Justin Bieber, who was believed to be situated in his white Ferrari on Sepulveda Boulevard in Los Angeles, an unidentified male has been pronounced dead.
Justin Bieber’s car is believed to have been pulled over on the 405 Freeway by the California Highway Patrol for a routine traffic stop on Tuesday evening at approx 6pm when the unidentified photographer arrived at the scene, got out of his car, and crossed Sepulveda Boulevard to take some photos. Sources have revealed that he was then hit by a car as he went back across the street to his own car.
“Justin Bieber was not in the Ferrari… We’re told one of Justin’s friends was driving, and another friend was in the passenger seat.” TMZ reports.
Los Angeles police officer James Stoughton confirmed that the unidentified male died in hospital shortly after the collision.
