Xenia Deli has been threatened by Justin Bieber fans ever since appearing in his new music video "What Do You Mean?"
The model, 25, has opened up about the experience, telling Harper's Bazaar, "There have been so many negative comments. I wasn't expecting this reaction – I thought everyone would be excited! I can't do anything about it though."
She plays Bieber's love interest in the video, and at one point kisses him and licks his abs -- images diehard fans can't get out of their heads.
She added, "I just want to say, I didn't do anything wrong, I was just doing my job. I'm not taking Justin away from his fans. I'm so sensitive to what people think about me, so I just stopped reading the comments."
Bieber fanatics have been attacking the model on social media and her Instagram page, writing scathing comments about her, including death threats, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
Last month, fans snapped photos and video of the pair holding hands and hanging out at a piano bar in Los Angeles, sparking rumors they were dating.
Deli told Teen Vogue they were "just friends" and that there was nothing between them. Bieber's rep has also told GossipCop that the pair are not dating.
The Moldovan model has appeared on the covers of magazines such as Sports Illustrated and FHM. She was also a clothed background model in a photoshoot for Playboy with Bruno Mars in 2012.
Bieber has been linked to a string of beautiful young women, including models Haily Baldwin, Kendall Jenner, and Miranda Kerr. He also dated Selena Gomez on and off for three years.
