Scottish electronic trio Chvrches visited the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge today and, in addition to performing their own tracks, they covered Justin Bieber‘s mega-hit “What Do You Mean?”
And to the surprise of many, the band selected Bieber’s hit written about his experience with fickle women. So, it’s interesting to see a woman, Lauren Mayberry singing the tune, with her Scottish accent peeking through here and there.

Bumping up the song’s already electronica structure, Chvrches’ version takes on a greater dance club feel. The introspective song even reaches anthemic levels when they hit the chorus. The band will release their new album Every Eye Open this Friday, September 25.
